Course and focus of therapy

WHEN THE CAUSE OF INFERTILITY IS KNOWN (e.g. anovulation, endometriosis, poor sperm quality):

  • the therapy focuses on addressing the root cause,
  • at the same time, we strengthen the elements and substances necessary for conception,
  • emotional support is included as an important part of the treatment.

IN CASES OF UNEXPLAINED INFERTILITY

  • we identify and balance the underlying pattern of disharmony,
  • focus on hormonal balance and the menstrual cycle,
  • observe the harmony of Yin and Yang, Blood and Qi;

THERAPY CAN INCLUDE BOTH PARTNERS

Supporting the male partner can be essential.
Acupuncture can improve sperm quality by:

  • enhancing blood circulation to the testes,
  • regulating hormones,
  • reducing oxidative stress.

TCM support for Natural conception- Understanding the cycle

Most women have only about 30 fertile days per year, which makes understanding your own cycle essential.

MEASURING BASAL BODY TEMPERATURE (BBT) helps you to:

  • identify fertile days,
  • understand hormonal balance,
  • detect where, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, there is a deficiency or excess of energy (Qi, Blood, Yin, Yang).

Before starting therapy, it is recommended to measure and record your BBT for at least one menstrual cycle.

TCM support during IUI, IVF, and ICSI procedures

When supporting medical fertility treatments (IUI, IVF, ICSI) with acupuncture and TCM, therapy should ideally begin at least three months before ovarian stimulation. This time allows the body to prepare and respond optimally to treatment. The main focus of therapy is usually on the woman, though the male partner may also be included if needed.

Preparation phase

DURING THE INITIAL SESSION, WE DETERMINE:

  • TCM pattern of imbalance,
  • the intensity and frequency of treatments,
  • lifestyle, supplements, and herbs recommendations.

The purpose of this phase is to strengthen the body, balance the hormonal system, and prepare optimal conditions for conception.

During the medical procedure

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas can support the woman throughout all phases of the treatment — from ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer.

Emotional support

Alongside the physical body, we also care for emotional balance, as calmness and relaxation are key elements of a successful fertility journey.
